Office of Aviation Update December 2020

The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development, Aviation Division, is currently developing the proposed Fiscal Year 2021-2022 Airport Construction and Development Priority Program.  If additional information is needed from airport sponsors that filed project applications with resolutions by November 1, 2020, the Aviation Division will notify those sponsors.

In order to be properly prioritized, the Aviation Division may request additional information for projects to ensure proper and efficient prioritization.  If you or your airport sponsor receive notification from our office on additional project information, we ask that you submit this to our office by Monday December 21, 2020. Further, we ask this information be transmitted from your airport sponsor/representative electronically.

State statute requires a priority system to prioritize projects in some logical order for addressing documented needs throughout the state’s public airport system. The priority system is a process that has been developed to allocate state aviation funding to address these critical and important needs. The system reflects the state’s development policy for the airport system through the Louisiana Airport System Plan and assigns values to projects which are consistent with the plan.

Thank you for your continued support of the Louisiana Airport System.  If you have any questions or need additional information, please contact our office at (225) 379-3050 or visit our website below for more information.
