LAMA Annual Conference 2021
Hosted by Baton Rouge Metro Airport
The 50th annual conference of LAMA was hosted by the Baton Rouge Metro Airport at the historic Hilton Baton Rouge Capitol Center in late October. A welcome reception featuring the Shaun Ward Xperience opened the conference to Louisiana’s airport managers and staff, engineers and consultants in the aviation industry, LADOTD Office of Aviation, exhibitors, and sponsors.
After confronting the challenges faced in 2020 and 2021, including a global pandemic and hurricanes, the conference promoted the professionalism of aviation and airport management throughout this unique time in the aviation industry.
The conference kicked off with a keynote address by Congressman Garrett Graves of the 6th District of Louisiana. A host of aviation professionals presented topics relative to the aviation industry on Monday and Tuesday in informative sessions. Conference attendees were treated to a Spooky Soiree on Monday night at the Old Governor’s Mansion featuring Werewolf, and to Rockin’ The Boat at the USS Kidd Veterans Museum on Tuesday night featuring the Victory Belles.
